BioBlock FAQ

Is BioBlock a medicine and does it replace vaccines?
BioBlock is not a medicine and does not replace vaccines. BioBlock is an additional precautionary measure which together with masks, hand washing, social distancing and vaccines helps to prevent the spread of the virus.

BioBlock® nasal spray is meant to create protective environment on the nasal mucosa and isolate the viral particles.

BioBlock® does not behave like a classic medicine – bovine antibodies in the nasal spray differ from human antibodies and they do not interfere with human processes (blood circulation, immune system, etc.).

What is the efficacy of BioBlock?
BioBlock® nasal spray is a natural product that contains antibodies against SARS-CoV-2 along with naturally occurring beneficial antibodies in colostrum which humans benefit daily while consuming dairy and meat products. In vitro testings demonstrated that the product blocks the entry of viral particles into cells.
Tests were performed against initial Wuhan and newly mutated SARS-CoV-2 variants  – Omicron B.1.1.529 (incl. its sublineages BA.1, BA.2, BA.4, BA.5, BA.2.75.2, BA.2.3.20, BQ.1.1, XBB.1.5), Indian (Delta B.1.617.2, Kappa B.1.617.1), UK B.1.1.7, South African B.1.351 and Brazil P.1.

We have published scientific paper about the efficacy of our bovine antibodies that are in BioBlock nasal spray:

Is BioBlock clinically studied?

Please read more:

Does BioBlock affect the SARS-CoV-2 test results?
No. PCR tests identify genetic material of the virus and antigen tests identify proteins of the virus. BioBlock does not contain any of them.  In case of antibody testing after a  person has had Covid-19 disease, blood sample is analyzed for human anti SARS-CoV-2 antibodies. BioBlock contains bovin antibodies.

Does BioBlock have any side-effects?
All ingredients are safe and carefully chosen, which are specifically meant for use on nasal mucus. If a person does not use spray products in general, there might occur slight irritation.
There are no side-effects to our knowledge. However, persons who have milk protein allergies (e.g. to casein) should not use the product. BioBlock is lactose free.

Is it safe for children?
It is more frequent that milk protein allergy occurs in children rather than adults (especially children under 6 years of age), so it is recommended to consult with your healthcare professional. In any other cases, BioBlock is safe for children.

Is there a fixed time period for how long a person can use the product?
No, there is not. BioBlock can be used consistently.

Does BioBlock dry nasal mucus?
No, BioBlock solution has moisturizing properties.

Can it be used with other products/medicines/preparations?
There are no contraindications to our knowledge.

Why is the natural bovine colostrum more preferred?
Bovine colostrum contains ca 150 times more antibodies than ordinary milk. The concept of BioBlock is related to SARS-CoV-2 antibodies which are not found in ordinary milk.

Should i wear a mask after I have sprayed BioBlock into nose?
Yes. BioBlock is an additional precautionary measure which together with masks and vaccines helps to prevent the spread of the virus. BioBlock does not replace masks.

What does it taste like?
BioBlock has a slightly salty taste because of the buffer salts, which are meant for preservation of antibodies.

Does BioBlock cure me faster, if I already have Covid-19 disease?
Final clinical trials will answer the question, although it is possible considering in-vitro testing results.

Is BioBlock addictive?
No. We confirm that BioBlock has no well-known addictive ingredients in it.
